Environmental conservation

One of our previous volunteers

KX! offers two projects in environmental conservation.

One of the KX! projects is focused on environment and conservation.
It is a turtle project, along the Malindi - Lamu coastline, that can use support in different skill areas. You don’t need to know a lot about turtles in order to assist them, but an open and adventures mind could help.

Together with Pwani Conservation Programme  we can offer you two 30 days Swahili experiences where you travel to different places and volunteer in conservation or conservation and educational projects.

There are more environmental conservation projects in the Coast Province. KX! is not placing volunteers in these projects since they charge volunteer fees, have high charges or conditions for accommodation.

KX! can bring you in touch with these projects.

KOMAZA is an award winning non-profit social enterprise working to end rural poverty by developing economic opportunties for small holders farmers living in Africa's infertile and drought-prone regisions. KOMAZA has three volunteer opportunties: for an Agro-Forestry Harvesting Summer internship, a Video Production Summer internship and a GPS Mapping Summer Internship.
