Mido Ecocamp

Mido Ecocamp is a community based ecocamp at Mida Creek about ten kilometres from Watamu. It is run by local people from Mida Creek. The huts/houses are build in Giriama, Swahili or Zanzibar style and they’re made of local and eco friendly materials. There is a restaurant. Mido creek has some great excursions organised by people from Mida Creek such as
•    walks in the mangrove and on the boardwalk
•    boat trips to Kirepwe island and Gede ruins
•    visit the Mida community and learn about their way of living, dancing and drumming
•    children’s arrangement
•    fishing

Prices:

The houses cost between € 9,- and € 15,- per night including breakfast
Trips costs between €2,50 and € 25,-
